Hello Parents/Carers!

It is unbelievable that we are here a year later from the beginning of this Pandemic and once again are slowly emerging out of a Lockdown. I trust you are all well and just want to thank you for your support during the last year – the whole school community has been, and is being, amazing.

We have now welcomed back all the children and are starting to induct the children who missed out on our January intake due to the restrictions. We are also welcoming some new families to fill the few spaces we have at present.

Thank you to the children, families and not least the staff of FANS who have worked hard to ensure a safe return that is being enjoyed, especially in the sunshine!

Please can I remind you to continue to adhere to social distancing and face-covering rules on the school site?  Also, we ask that you inform us and stay away from school if you or your children display symptoms of Coronavirus – a new, persistent cough, temperature or loss of/change to sense of smell/taste.  If you or a member of your family have been asked to self-isolate, we ask you to stay away and inform the school office.

We are planning to re-instate our Breakfast club and After school club after Easter so increasing our hours to 8am – 5pm.  If you require a place at either, can you let the office know so we can plan for those children.

REMINDER!!

Last day of term Thursday 1st April for the Easter break.  Return Tuesday 20th April.

INSET Monday 19th April therefore SCHOOL CLOSED.

During the first week back after Easter we will be holding a version of our Parent Evenings, either face to face in the garden, on Zoom or by phone. This will be a great opportunity to catch up with your child’s key person and chat through any issues regarding primary school places, settling back in or simply to celebrate all the learning that your child is doing!

We are taking registrations for September in both Acorns (2-3 yr olds) and the Nursery classes (3-4 yr olds) so if you know anyone that would like to come to our outstanding setting please tell them about us!

Below are details of a charitable run project to help families through this difficult time. They invite anyone who feels they could do with that extra support to contact them in total confidence.

Boxes of Hope

What do we do?

We deliver a box of fresh and store cupboard food and other essentials to families on a fortnightly basis. Many of the families we support are not referred to the food banks, and are reluctant to apply for or access other help.

Contents of the boxes are tailored to individual families’ needs, taking into account the number and ages of children, any allergies and cultural or dietary needs. We include nappies etc where appropriate.

Families can self refer by emailing pantry@babristol.org, or calling our dedicated phone 07745 265086.

Once again thank you for your continued patience and support during these challenging times.  I also say another Thank you to all the staff at FANS who are continuing to support our children and families.

Best Wishes

Sarah
