The Acorns created a beach in the sandpit! They found a big pipe and began by pouring water down it into a big hole that they dug at the bottom.
Before long the children decided to sit in the sand with their feet in the hole waiting in anticipation for the water to come down the pipe. They each took it in turns to pour the water down for their friends.
They found a lot of joy in splashing their feet in the water and experiencing the sand between their toes. The Acorns had to work out how to share the space with each other, and they learnt a lot about their actions having consequences when they sat down on wet sand and their clothes got wet!
