To all our families,
I can’t quite believe that term 4 is over! Having some sunnier weather in the last few weeks has been lovely. Long may it last.
It’s been such a busy term, and your children are making so much progress. I feel so privileged to witness their amazing learning and development.
I hope you have an enjoyable Spring break and that the weather is kind to us. We’ll see you back on Tuesday, 22nd April.
If you haven’t already, please look on our website to see all the lovely things we’ve been up to this term.
Eid Party
Thank you so much to everyone who came along to our Eid celebration on Wednesday; it was such a lovely party. There was lots of delicious food to share and a chance to connect with each other. Eid Mubarak to all our families who celebrated the end of Ramadan.
National Education Nature Park Grant

I am delighted to announce that we were awarded our Nature Park Grant. We have some exciting ideas to improve and bio-diversify our outdoor areas, so please watch this space.
FFANS News
Thank you to everyone who donated to the raffle and bought tickets. We raised over £100, which will go towards purchasing some inclusive books for the children. You can watch the raffle draw here.
HELP REQUIRED!
Could you spare some time to help with fundraising? Friends of Filton Avenue Nursery School (FFANS) is desperate to recruit event organisers and people to run and market events. Please get in touch if you would be interested.
Our next event is our Summer Fayre, which is scheduled for Saturday, July 5th, 2025. However, we will not be able to run it unless we get some volunteers from our community.
Our Website
We are always looking at ways to improve our website and recently added to our community tab. Please take a look here.
If you have any feedback about our website, we’d welcome it – thank you.
Help with Childcare Fees

You may be eligible for help with paying for childcare, including any wraparound sessions outside of your funded hours. The government website Childcare Choices can help you navigate and see if you’re eligible.
Other useful websites are: Tax-Free Childcare – GOV.UK and Universal Credit childcare costs – GOV.UK.
Parking
Thank you for your support and understanding of parking in our car park. We have seen some improvement in parking conditions.
Can we please remind parents and carers to be mindful of our neighbours when parking on the roads near nursery and avoid parking on the yellow zig-zags on Blakeney Road. Thanks again!
As always, if you need to speak with your child’s key person or any member of staff, please do so at drop off or pick up times. If your matter is sensitive, please arrange a time with them and a quiet and more private space can be booked.
Thank you,
Kate and everyone at FANS
