If someone is struggling to manage their money or facing financial challenges, advice and support are available.

They might be eligible to claim welfare benefits if they don’t currently receive any. They can use the council’s benefits calculator to help find out what they could claim.

Financial or debt advice is available from Citizen’s Advice Bristol and North Bristol Advice Centre.

There is lots of mental health support available too. People should talk to family and friends or contact one of a range of local organisations, including Bristol Mind, Community Access Support Services and Second Step for help. You are not alone.

More cost of living advice and support is available on Bristol City Council’s cost of living support webpage, or people can call the We Are Bristol helpline for free on 0800 694 0184, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
