Families are invited to take part in free Flower Power and Bee Art Workshops ahead of the Lockleaze Climate & Nature Festival on 6th June, with two sessions available to create decorations for the festival parade.
The free workshops, led by Jody Cook and Abi Spence, offer families the chance to create their own flowers and bees to show off during the parade at the Lockleaze Nature Festival. Two sessions are available: Tuesday 26th May from 10am to 12pm, and Tuesday 2nd June from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, both at The Old St James Church. Everyone is welcome, and children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Lockleaze Climate & Nature Festival takes place on Saturday, 6th June from 1:30pm to 5pm at The Hub and Gainsborough Square. The festival features DJ K Anthony, music, films and a picnic, with a Fancy Dress Competition at 2:30pm, the Flower Power Bee Parade at 3pm with Lockleaze Youth Climate Action and RSVP Bhangra Festival Band, and Ceilidh Dance and Music at 4pm. There will be stalls from Horfield Greenary, Dr Bike, artists, community groups, and kids activities. Families are encouraged to bring their own cup and travel by foot or bike where possible.
