In celebration of Refugee Week 2026, we are warmly inviting all of our families to our second annual Culture Café, taking place in the Filton Avenue Nursery School Garden on Wednesday 17th June 2026.
The Culture Café is a wonderful celebration of the food and cultures that make up our school community, and everyone is welcome. Parents, carers, grandparents, friends and siblings are all invited to join us. If you would like to bring a favourite dish from your culture to share with the community, we would love that, but please do come along even if you are unable to bring something as there will be plenty to enjoy on the day.
The café will be open from 11:30am to 12:30pm and again from 3:15pm to 4pm. If you are unable to attend, children will be taken to the Culture Café between 1pm and 3pm. Please sign up with the office if you are planning to bring a dish, and please ensure there are no nuts or eggs in any dishes. Ingredients and information sheets will need to be completed prior to or on the day.
We are also looking for entertainers to be part of the celebration. If you or someone you know is talented in the arts or music, whether as a musician, henna artist or otherwise, please do get in touch. We would love to hear from you. Full details can be found on the attached poster.
