The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued advice regarding the hot weather forecast for later this week. At present, Filton Avenue Nursery School will remain open as usual. Should the warning be raised to a red warning, we will carefully risk assess the situation and communicate any changes to families as soon as possible.
To help keep your child comfortable and safe, please ensure they wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing, bring a sun hat, and arrive with suncream already applied. Children staying all day should also bring a named bottle of suncream for reapplication, along with a named water bottle.
We will be encouraging children to drink water regularly and giving them plenty of opportunities to cool down throughout the day, including water play and time in our shaded outdoor areas. Staff will continue to monitor children closely and adapt activities as needed.
If you would like to collect your child early, please come via the school office before 11.30am or 3.15pm. If you choose to keep your child at home during this period, please contact the office as usual.
Thank you for your support in helping us keep the children safe during the hot weather. Please remember, children must arrive at nursery with suncream already applied.
