Before the summer break, families, friends and children came together at our Family Summer Picnic, and many took the opportunity to leave us some truly heartfelt messages. We wanted to share just a few of them, because they capture everything that makes Filton Avenue Nursery School so special.
Families spoke of the love, care and support their children have received, with one parent writing that they will “always cherish those happy memories” and are “grateful for everything you have done.” Another shared, “no words can describe how much love we have for FANS,” and thanked staff for everything done for their girls over the years.
So many messages spoke of confidence and growth, from watching children “become more confident and sociable” to thanks “for helping me come out of my shell,” a sentiment shared more than once. Parents reflected on the wonderful teachers, teaching assistants and office staff who have supported their children, with one describing the nursery as “a wonderful place” where “everyone here is so caring and supportive.”
The children’s own words were just as lovely, with mentions of making planets, baking crumble and hedgehog bread in Acorns, playing with paints, singing Christmas songs for the grown-ups, and simply having “a very good time.” One child summed it up perfectly by saying they will keep the “kind and welcoming faces” of Filton Nursery “in my heart forever.”
Thank you to every family who took the time to share these words with us. They mean more than we can say, and we will treasure them.
