The Early Years Pupil Premium is additional funding for Early Years settings to improve the education provided for disadvantaged 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds.
It is the responsibility of each setting to identify children and families that are eligible for the funding and support them to apply for it.
This money is spent on Forest School, fresh fruit for snack time and limited free school meals for those who qualify. It is also used for 1:1 and group intervention support sessions where necessary, extra support for children on Action Plans and targeted materials and resource spending.
