Dear Parents/Carers,
I trust you are all getting through this lockdown and thank you for your continued patience in life returning to more normal times. It has certainly been one of the most challenging times in the life of our school and for many of us in our lifetime.
Being mindful of the safety of our whole school community, the introduction of lateral flow testing to all our staff, the consistent reduction in the number of Covid cases in our area and the national picture of the probability of schools reopening, we are working towards re-opening the school community from Monday March 8th.
In order for this to happen, we are reorganising our bubbles to make use of the ‘natural break’ of half term and therefore are planning to reopen Acorns to the currently attending children after the half-term break. So, following the half-term break on Monday 22nd February those Acorns children currently attending Beech room will return to Acorns. Beech and Willow will continue to operate as separate bubbles to those children currently attending.
From Monday 8th March all children can return when Beech and Willow will operate as one large bubble. Acorns will reopen fully from this date also.
For the time being, due to staffing constraints and not wanting to break ‘bubbles’, Breakfast club and After school club will remain paused.
It is important to stress that we will still be continuing with our strict health and safety procedures according to our Risk Assessment.
Please remember that more children and adults back on site may increase opportunities for transmission of the virus. Should we get a positive case of COVID-19 in any of our bubbles we will have to close the entire bubble for all children.
I will, of course, review these arrangements should anything change locally or nationally. Please do contact your key person, the office or myself if you have any queries about these arrangements.
We are really looking forward to welcoming you back safely and to enjoying the spring with your children when we will hopefully see warmer, brighter weather and an improvement in the general situation we are all facing. In the words of Sir Tom ‘tomorrow will be a good day’!
