The holidays have arrived! We finish today for 2 weeks returning on Monday 25th April for term 5.
What a packed term we have all had! It was wonderful to see so many of you at the Parent review meetings and to be able to welcome you into the school in person was a bonus. Thank you for your attendance and positivity.
Our Forest experience area has been used well. The children have been enjoying cooking over a campfire as well as chopping and eating many different fruits and vegetables this term with our Children’s Kitchen support. They have also been mark making with a range of resources including mud, sharing and enjoying many core books, learning about solving mathematical problems, extending their physical abilities in our outside spaces, listening to each other and learning how to help each other through various issues of the session as well as a whole range of creative activities and explorations. They really are using our environments well to further their imaginations. We are very proud of them.
As we move towards the last third of the year I want to thank you for your continued support regarding the ongoing high Covid (and other) infection rates in our school community. Staff absence has been significant this term so thank you for bearing with us as we cope with this situation.
We wish Sue a fantastic retirement – we will say goodbye to her one week after returning from the Easter break. Sue has worked at FANS for many years and we are so grateful to her for her hard work and care for our children. We will miss her smiling face, songs and poetry!
We are looking to recruit 2 x practitioners/ apprentices – if you are interested or know someone who is, please do speak to me.
There are also 2 spaces on our governing body for someone interested in supporting the governance of FANS. Again, please speak to me if you are interested and have the time for 2 meetings a term, usually totalling a couple of hours.
Wishing you all a sunny and relaxing fortnight and see you soon! Take care.
