This week, children in Acorns Room have been painting and then washing the windows, enjoying a wonderfully messy and engaging activity. The children used bold colours to create their artwork on the glass surfaces, developing their creative expression and fine motor skills through brush control and mark-making.

After their painting session, the children worked together to wash the windows clean, discovering how water and movement can transform the painted surface whilst taking responsibility for tidying up their workspace.

This hands-on experience supports physical development through large arm movements and coordination, whilst also building independence and understanding of cause and effect.
