Bristol Parent Carer Forum is recruiting for a Global Majority and North Bristol Peer Support Coordinator to help support parent carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities across Bristol.

Bristol Parent Carers is a local charity working with parent carers of children and young people aged 0-25 years with SEND in Bristol. The organisation aims to ensure that every parent carer in Bristol is supported through their SEND journey and empowered to understand and advocate for their child’s needs.

The role involves facilitating peer support sessions across Bristol, both in schools and the community, face to face and online. The successful candidate will coordinate coffee mornings and evening events, facilitate online training sessions, build relationships with parent carers and community partners, and ensure inclusive engagement approaches that enable diverse voices to be heard.

The position requires someone who can travel to and facilitate at least two coffee mornings per week or one coffee morning and one evening event per week, along with up to two evening online training sessions per month. Strong relationship-building skills and a passion for reaching out to families are essential.
