Dear Families,
Thank you again for your patience whilst emergency maintenance work takes place in the nursery today and tomorrow. Please read the information below carefully, as there are some temporary changes to drop-off and collection arrangements.
We have contingency plans in place to minimise disruption for the children. During this time, access along the main corridor will be limited.
Drop-off at 12:30pm – TODAY & TOMORROW
Acorns: A member of the team will meet you in reception and take your child to the classroom. This may take slightly longer than usual, so please allow extra time.
Beech & Willow: Access to these classrooms will be via Willow Room only. If your child is in Beech Room, please go through Willow Room, then outside and around to Beech Room using the external door.
Doors will remain open until 12:45pm to allow for late arrivals. Please leave buggies outside. Thank you for your cooperation.
Early Collections (before 3:15pm) – TODAY ONLY
(Any collections after 3:15pm disrupt circle time and will not be permitted.)
Acorns: Please wait in reception and a member of the team will bring your child to you.
Beech & Willow: Access will be via Willow Room only. If your child is in Beech Room, please go through Willow Room, then outside and around to Beech Room using the external door.
Little Acorns: No change.
Please allow extra time for early collections and leave buggies outside. There will be no change to the usual collection time at 3:30pm.
Tomorrow – Morning Drop-Off (as per yesterday)
To avoid disruption, please arrive on time for drop-off. The gates will remain open until 9:15am, and group time in Preschool (Willow and Beech Rooms) will begin slightly later.
If you arrive after 9:15am:
- Acorns & Beech: Please drop your child at reception; a member of the team will take them to their classroom.
- Willow: Please take your child directly to the classroom as usual.
- Little Acorns: No change.
To support a calm start to the day, we strongly encourage arrival between 8:45–9:15am, as activities will be planned around this time.
Heating Update
It is likely that there will be no heating in the Acorns, Beech, and Willow Rooms tomorrow (Thursday). With cold weather forecast, please ensure your child is dressed warmly, including thermal clothing and multiple layers. If we feel your child is not suitably dressed to remain comfortable, we may need to contact you to request additional clothing.
We also understand that some families may choose not to bring their child to nursery during this time, and we fully respect this decision.
