Children in Beech and Willow classes have been making excellent use of our outdoor learning environment this term. The playground has become a hub of exploration, with children demonstrating strength and coordination as they navigate our monkey bars and climbing equipment. These activities support their Physical Development through challenging activities that build core strength and spatial awareness.
Creative arts have flourished outdoors with children participating in large-scale collaborative painting projects. Working together on expansive canvases spread across our playground, children have explored colour mixing and mark-making while developing fine motor skills. These artistic endeavours support Expressive Arts and Design, allowing children to share their creativity with peers.
Construction and imaginative play continue to thrive in our natural outdoor spaces. Children have been building with wooden blocks and sand, developing their understanding of shape, space, and measure while fostering problem-solving skills.
Our commitment to outdoor learning ensures children experience the curriculum in meaningful, hands-on ways that capture their natural curiosity and enthusiasm for discovery, laying important groundwork for their continued learning journey.
