The Children’s Hospital and University of Bristol are trying and understand the potential benefits of the chickenpox vaccine in the UK.  Part of this involves gathering information on how otherwise healthy children and their families are affected by community cases of chickenpox.  We hope that the information that this study generates will be able to influence whether the UK introduces universal chickenpox vaccination in the coming years.

We need parents of children with chickenpox to help us by filling out an online diary each day while ill.

It simply involves a few short daily questions, no blood tests, and no home or hospital visits.

If your child does catch chickenpox, please visit www.chickenpox-study.co.uk for more information.
