The Friends of Filton Avenue (FFANS) was set up last year by a group of parents to whom we are extremely grateful. Last year they raised approximately £1200 through cake sales, fairs and clothes sales. This directly impacted our children through the purchase of new water trays, books and a contribution to our much improved sand pit area as well as the artwork above our entrance. We cannot thank them enough but they need more volunteers to help run some simple fundraising activities this year.
We keep these activities simple and really try not to demand too much of your time – an hour here and there is all that is needed to make a difference. Some of the activities planned include a Christmas raffle, bake sale, spring fair, coin trail and anything else that will make some much needed funds for the nursery.
