Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had a busy but successful term three. The children welcomed new friends to play with, bird-watched, celebrated Chinese New Year and started to get ready for spring by weeding, digging, and collecting seeds.

Take a look at the website for more information, videos and pictures!

We’re all ready for a rest and reset over the half-term break next week, and we look forward to seeing you all back on Monday, February 24th.

Headlice and Worms

A few cases of headlice and worms were reported to Nursery this term. Both are common in young children but easily transmittable and easily treated.

Please follow advice from the NHS for identifying and treating both:

Parking

Thank you for your support and understanding regarding parking in our car park.

This is just a reminder for parents and carers to be mindful of our neighbours when parking on the roads near nursery and avoid parking on the yellow zig-zags on Blakeney Road. Thanks again!

School of Sanctuary

As part of our quest to become a School of Sanctuary and welcome sanctuary seekers, we coloured in orange hearts today to show support for Together with Refugees, which is campaigning for a more compassionate approach to refugees – see the work they do here.

We still need parent/carer engagement. Could you help us become the first Nursery School in Bristol to become a School of Sanctuary? If you are interested or want any more information, please get in touch with me.

More information can be found here.

Half Term

Are you stuck for things to do in the half term? Please see below a list of local ideas and activities:

As always, if you need to speak with your child’s key person or any staff member, please do so at drop-off or pick-up times. If your matter is sensitive, please arrange a time with them, and a quieter and more private space can be booked.

Thank you,
Kate and everyone at FANS
