In Acorns, the children love to read and look at books. We thought we would share this joy with their families by creating our Acorns Book Share!
We want to encourage families and carers to take a book and share a book together at home. This is a great way to share stories with other families and explore different ways of life. We have included books from various cultures and tried to reflect the home languages of our families here in Acorns.
Reading together is a wonderful way to bond, spark imagination, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Plus, it’s a great way to share and revisit favourite childhood books. When sharing a book together, we want to ignite that spark of curiosity and encourage children to ask questions and share their thoughts about the story or pictures they see.
Talking about the story and pictures will help them understand better and strengthen your bond. These moments together help create a lasting love for reading and open up communication.
