It’s been an exciting term of hands-on learning and outdoor exploration for our children in Beech and Willow Rooms at Filton Avenue Nursery School!
The children in both rooms have embraced the natural world and developed their skills through various engaging activities.
In our mud kitchen, children have been practising their pouring and measuring skills, experimenting with different-sized containers, and learning about capacity through playful exploration.
Our budding gardeners have been busy in the nursery garden, using trowels and small tools to tend to our winter plants. Working together, they’ve learned about plant care while developing fine motor skills.
Physical development has been a key focus this term, with children challenging themselves on our climbing equipment. Our wooden climbing trunk has proven especially popular, helping children build confidence and physical strength through active play.
One of the term’s highlights has been our parachute play sessions, where children have delighted in collaborative games using our colourful parachute. These activities have supported physical development and fostered teamwork and social skills, with lots of laughter and joy on show!
Through these varied activities, our children continue to demonstrate their natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
We’re proud to see how the Beech and Willow children grow in confidence, develop new skills, and form friendships through shared adventures and play.
